This year, Katrina Beohm Real Estate is diving into the fun at the Ballina Duck Fest with a splash of creativity and flair! Our team has entered the Best Dressed Duck Contest - we couldn’t resist putting a bold, artistic spin on our entry. Meet Friduck Kahlo – a little duck with a big personality.
Inspired by the legendary Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, our duck sports a colourful flower head-dress, a fearless attitude, and a vibrant expression that celebrates creativity, individuality and community spirit – all qualities we hold close at Katrina Beohm Real Estate.
Getting Friduck Kahlo festival-ready was no small feat! Decorating her proved a bit tricky – the towering flower crown and dramatic eyebrows were two of the biggest challenges.
The Ballina Duck Fest will be held on Saturday, 29th February 2026, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm along the Richmond River at Captain Cook Park. It’s always more than just the race down the river – it’s a day for families, friends and businesses to come together for laughter, games, food, music and a real sense of community.
By entering Friduck Kahlo, we’re not just having fun – we’re embracing the joyful, inclusive spirit that makes this event a highlight on the Northern Rivers calendar. Whether you’re cheering on hundreds of racing ducks or admiring the colourful creativity of the Best Dressed Duck entries, the festival promises smiles all around.
