Teven & Tintenbar

Teven and Tintenbar are hinterland villages about 10 and 11 kilometres north-west of Ballina. The countryside is lush farmland and lifestyle properties. Together they share the reputable Teven-Tintenbar Public School.

Teven is home to the Teven Valley Golf Course, designed by Craig Parry and opened in 2021, boasting the first Tee to Green Sir Grange Zoysia Course in Australia. The boutique nine holes have been designed to challenge seasoned golfers but built for a fun round, and the ninth hole is entertaining for those watching from the eagle-eye clubhouse. Platypus swims in Maguires Creek, meandering the boundary of the picturesque first-class greens.

Tintenbar offers an old church cafe and general store with post, liquor and fuel services, plus there is a beautiful old hall with weekly yoga, Pilates, martial arts, sound healing, and playgroups. Also, on the second Friday of each month (except for January) is Tintenbar Up Front, where performers of all kinds, such as musicians, poets, comedians, dancers, etc., strut their stuff.
